2017 Fair - October 24, 2017

“A job is so much more than a paycheck. It’s an opportunity for a better life. A job gives us purpose. It gives us dignity and self-esteem. While I work in Congress to break down barriers that make it more difficult for people with disabilities to get a job, I’m so thankful for groups like the Spokane Area Workforce Development Council who are working to break down those barriers right here in our community. Thank you to everyone who has helped in making this event happen today. When we work together we can celebrate the ability that every person has and ensure work is a reality for anyone who wants it.” - Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05)
